Louise + Isaiah Wedding

Here's a little recount of the wedding of Louise & Isaiah on February 27th!
As you might have seen in my Bridal/Wedding portfolio, my most recent wedding was that of my beautiful best friend, and her husband (also one of my best friends),
Louise + Isaiah!

Their wedding actually took place just last month! February weddings will always hold a special place in my heart, as my own parents actually got married in February...and on Valentine's Day, no less! ♡

The pictures in this post were taken by a friend of the family, Kar De Castro. She has quite a bit of experience in what we like to call "Love Portaits". From newborn/infancy photography ( "little loves"), pre-wedding/engagement, and so on! She did an amazing job with all of the photos that day!

I did both the makeup & hairstyling for Louise, her sister, and the Mother of the Bride that day. However, I will only be posting the Bridal Makeup details from this wedding in this blog!

On to the Makeup for Louise's Bridal Look that day!
⇣Makeup details

  • Foundation / Complexion :
We went with Airbrush Foundation* on her!
*Kett Hydro Foundation - custom shade.
We had actually scheduled her makeup trial to coincide with her engagement shoot & she loved how long-lasting, flawless & comfortable the airbrush makeup was on her! A favorite amongst my Brides!

  • Cheeks  :
For her Blush color we went with a peachy-nude shade applied just shy of the apples of her cheek!
Louise loves natural/neutral tones so we kept the blush tone neutral as well but still added dimension/definition to her cheeks/cheekbones!
& For her highlight and contour we used both Airbrush & powder contour/highlight to create a natural shading and to set the makeup in place!
  • Eyes:
For the eyes we again, stayed with neutral tones but made sure to add warmth & depth, as we were sure we wanted to use false lashes!
    My favorite lash styles for Brides are usually #747 (S, M, L), #213, #217, or #DWSP (Demi-Wispies)
  • Lips :
As a final touch, for the lips, Louise chose a neutral-muted-deep-pinky-nude shade! (😁)
We could never truly describe this shade, other than to say that it was a "medium shade" compared to others that I had shown her from my kit!
This particular lip color was a matte finish and lasted almost completely throughout the entire afternoon/night!

Overall, this has to be one of my favorite bridal makeups, not only because Louise is beautiful, and she's my friend, but because she was really open to makeup techniques & products that she had never tried before!
Love that open mind!

And now for the surprise little background detail/info that you may not have realized about these pictures:

These photos were all taken after the ceremony, where there were definitely some tears!
Yes, about 20 minutes prior to these photos being taken, both the bride & groom shed a few great tears!
And look at that makeup!! It stayed put and required almost no touching up!
In the event that a Bride of mine needs a touch-up, I always make sure to provide her with a touch-up kit
(dedicating a whole post to bridal touch-up kits so stay tuned!)

Loved that I was able to attend this wedding as well, which was filled with so much love & laughter! The weather was gorgeous, the setting was intimate (in a beautifully decorated backyard with the closest family & friends) and the Bride was absolutely glowing!
So happy for my friends & can't wait to see who's next to get married!
(I love weddings!)
